Holly Fuck... i want this...

The 2010 Honda Shadow, at only 750cc looks extremely good, and given the size of the engine it should be somewhat enough to cover extra and intra urban areas.

As mentioned in another entry, the weather down here is fair all year long, and even when it rains (mostly) its really not that bad.

Anyway, i think this bike could cover what i'm looking for right now.

-low fuel cost
-zero parking cost
-traffic saver

I used to own a Vento 150cc, it was very small, but it was awesome for going to and fro in the city. But i really missed on doing some adventuring of my own, specially because of the very small engine size.

I think i can make the down payment come december and fuck myself in the ass for 2 years with a loan. Yeah, that will be nice.

Mon, 19 Oct 2009 15:40:24 GMT Regarding Local Weather
Over time I've thought about what necessity does having a journal cover. None really, but it does feel good to gloat or vent and maybe get feedback from the community, others might think you are some kind of subversive hooligan looking to start a fight, maybe the next world wide conflict; None of that, as folks who know me could mention... i am a good guy, multiple felonies perhaps, but a good person.

Before my experience in the Great European Jungle, i thought we had a winter, such is not the case, i can see why.

Temperature really never goes bellow 0 (Celsius), the only places that do get frost are above certain height, and the locals keep sheep close for their wool, or so they say. And there's plenty of palm trees; everywhere you look there is a conveniently placed palm tree that reminds us this is a tropical area. Unlike other countries, going to a nice sunny (mostly) beach just takes about 20 bucks worth of gas, and a couple hours of time.

Of course with the local twitter populace might disagree, which i also did, repeatedly... even as far as trying to convince my friends in England that it got so cold here that you'd feel one of your limbs might snap off your body and shatter on the floor.

Such is not the case. Norwegians have a good saying, There is no bad weather, only non-optimal clothing.

I couldn't agree more, polyester and cotton cloths are the norm in the area, fleece jackets are rare, lots of denim, wool underwear is laughed upon, or an alternative method to kill your sperm count. It is, if you incline, an alternative to world of warcraft's weppenz, gain experience by introducing a new warm material, and wearing it without doing yourself any physical harm.

I see now the severity of winter in a region is directly proportionate to how much units of wool trousers you have in your collection. Guatemalans that do have those, constitute less than 0.000000001% of the total populace, my best guess is that i am not the only crazy person to hold a memento of a nordic country in the form of woolen underwear.

So back on the topic, it's not cold, it is just slightly less warm.

One day i was chatting with niteskunk, and him and some friends where going to buy some winter clothing... with a hint of nostalgia after having my very first white Christmas almost a year ago, yet with an even bigger feeling of... belonging... weird that... i was sick enough to mention "I need to buy more Hawaiian shirts".

There is no Christmas without snow, agreed. But outside the geographical differences, it is special in it's own way. Something completely different to enjoy the end of the year celebrations at a slightly less warm weather, wearing a red Hawaiian shirt with white flower decals, sipping on brightly colored icy drinks with little umbrellas on them; and basking in the glow of the equatorial sun light, and maybe catch heat stroke.

Long overdue update, to those who read, i still exist, sorry if i did disappoint ;)
